Developing students' religious attitudes is one of the essential goals of Islamic education in shaping learners who are faithful, pious, and possess noble character. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers play a strategic role as educators, mentors, and role models for students. This study aims to describe the role of PAI teachers in fostering students' religious attitudes at SMP Nurul Huda Peleyan Kapongan Situbondo and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered in its implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, PAI teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and prolonged engagement in the field. The findings reveal that PAI teachers serve as educators, motivators, facilitators, mentors, and role models in developing students' religious attitudes. These roles are implemented through habituation of religious activities such as collective prayer, Qur’an recitation, congregational prayer, moral guidance, and exemplary daily behavior. Supporting factors include support from the school, family, and the Islamic boarding school environment, while inhibiting factors stem from the low awareness of some students and the influence of social environments and technology. The study concludes that PAI teachers make a significant contribution to fostering students' religious attitudes through habituation, exemplary conduct, and continuous guidance. Synergy among schools, families, and communities is a crucial factor in optimizing the development of students' religious character
