About the Journal

Al-Hakam: Journal of Islamic Law is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, groundbreaking research across all dimensions of Islamic legal scholarship. Published by Institut Agama Islam Nurul Huda Situbondo, the journal serves as an international platform for scholars, legal practitioners, and researchers to critically examine the principles, historical development, and contemporary applications of Islamic law (Sharia).

The journal fosters interdisciplinary discourse by encouraging scholars to integrate Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) with related disciplines, including ethics, sociology, political science, economics, theology, and comparative legal studies. We welcome original research articles, conceptual frameworks, and field-based studies written in English, Arabic, or Bahasa Indonesia.

Published biannually ([June and December]), Al-Hakam aims to advance global discourse, promote nuance in Islamic legal thought, and address complex legal challenges facing modern society.
