Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Al-Hakam: Journal of Islamic Law (JIL) undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process. Neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities during the review process.
⚙️ Editorial & Review Stages

Initial Screening & Plagiarism Check The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation of the manuscript's scope, format, and similarity check (Turnitin).

Peer Assignment Assignment of manuscripts to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field.

Reviewers' Recommendations Reviewers provide critical assessment and formal recommendation: Accepted, Accepted with Revisions, Resubmit for Review, or Rejected.

Author Revisions Authors revise the manuscript based strictly on reviewers’ comments and editorial suggestions within the specified timeframe.

Final Editorial Decision The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision for publication based on reviewer consensus and revision compliance.

Review Duration: The entire review process generally takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the study and the responsiveness of reviewers and authors.
